The DIEt That Works by Guest Writer Latrice Pace

So I get home from BNFIT BootCamp — which is on a “DO NOT MISS” level these days — to grab breakfast and get ready for today’s clients, when I get a text from Delmarie to check out the latest blog post of Latrice Pace, one of my favorite actors and singers — who is also the youngest sister in the world famous gospel group, the Anointed Pace Sisters. When she and I became friends on Facebook, I revealed to her that I LOOOOVE the music that she and her sisters have been recording since the late 80’s and I had to temper my stalking ways. Nevertheless, she is not only a friend but a part of the BNFIT family who has made it a priority to exercise with BNFIT whenever she is in Washington, DC, Maryland or Virginia.

So I read the post and it is ON-MESSAGE in a real way. Of late, my motivation to my clients has been regarding diet and thinking about exercise in not just physical ways, but also mental and spiritual ways. I’ll blog on it later, but for today this is what you need! I texted Latrice to ask if could I re-blog her post and she was quite gracious.

Please read the post and then head on over to both Latrice’s blog and website to join her on her journey to healing, wholeness and change!!

GOOD MORNING :-D !

I get way too excited when God gives me something. I have to share it immediately because we need help immediately. Sitting here editing and putting the finishing touches on Be the Change, The Workbook and God dealt with me about the word DIEt. The essence of the word is simply what you choose to eat every day. Many of us see it as a death sentence filled with restrictions and for years we’ve been told not to diet, but adapt a lifestyle change. Well, we must do both. A DIEt isn’t a restrictive death sentence, it’s a lifeline. Something must die before something new can come into being.

“ I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, Unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.” John 12:24 amp

Today, view your unhealthy DIEt (the things you choose to eat on a daily basis) as something that has to die in order for change to take place in you.  Once change takes place in you, it will yield a rich harvest of change in your family, friends and community. Your DIEt is a plan to die to your old self. The old self who had no interest in embracing its G.O.D. (Governed. Orderly. Disciplined) identity.

A person without self-control is like a house with its doors and windows knocked out. Proverbs 25:28 msg.

Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, 20 You were bought with a price [purchased with a [a]preciousness and paid for, [b]made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. 1 Corinthians 6: 19,20.

Let’s make a conscious decision at every meal to bear the fruit of Temperance/Self Control.

Let’s also make a conscious decision at every workout to bear the fruit of Long-suffering/Patient Endurance. It’s not going to happen overnight, but stick to it and change will come.

Create a great day and Be the Change :-) .

Now, read it again and apply. Thanks Latrice!
