Exercises to Help Prevent Osteoporosis

As the Boot Camp serves a wide range of people, I have been encountering different concerns. I’ve trained pregnant women, people with arthritis, back pain, knee issues — Renee just had knee surgery in August. The thing that gets us through is that every exercise can be modified according to what the body can do or needs to do. If we lift 10 and you need to lift 5 or 3, so be it; if we run and you need to walk at a fast-pace, so be it.  I thought it timely to share this video by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) addressing Osteoporosis.

Osteoporosis is a silent disease that develops over many years and affects 10 million people. Join Robyn Stuhr, ACEs Executive Vice President, in this Pro News video feature to learn about some key types of exercises that can increase bone strength and prevent the disease.
